    I have been Marshal of the Waterloo Marshal’s Department since July 18th 2005.  Before that I was with the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Department form which I retired as a Captain, on the 1st of July 2005.  I have 36 years of experience in Law Enforcement in DeKalb County.   This experience has made for a very smooth transition into the Marshal’s position.  I have 1 Sergeant and 4 full time deputies and 8 reserve deputies on the department and am able to give the Town 24-7 coverage. 

I am a graduate of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy, Certified Breath Test Operator, STOPS Instructor, Domestic Violence Instructor, Emergency Vehicle Operator Instructor, Radar Instructor, Certified in SCAN & Rieds Interview Techniques, FTO Certified, Internal Affairs Officer for Dekalb County Sheriff's Department, plus 100's of hours of Law Enforcement Training over the last 30 years.
Spent 3 years in the United States Army attaining the rank of E-6, spent 1 year in the Republic of Vietnam and 3 years in the inactive Army Reserves.
